The Waterloo Concert Band typically performs around 10 – 20 times throughout the year at a variety of venues. Members aren’t expected to attend every performance, we just ask that you let your section leader and the Music Director know ahead of time if you can’t make it. While the performance schedule varies from year to year with different local community events, the following list represents a typical year for the Band:

  • January
    • First Monday – first rehearsal of the year
  • May
    • First Sunday
      • Morning – Battle of the Atlantic Ceremony
      • Afternoon – Spring Concert
  • June – August
    • Third Monday in June – last rehearsal for the summer and Annual General Meeting
    • Most Monday evenings following the AGM – performances at local retirement homes
    • Assorted Sunday evenings – the WCB performs at its summer concert series in Waterloo Park, usually one Sunday per month
    • August 9 – National Peacekeeper’s Day ceremony
  • September
    • Second Monday – first rehearsal back from the summer
  • November
    • November 11 – Remembrance Day Ceremony (Waterloo Cenotaph)
  • December
    • First Sunday – Winter Concert
    • Mondays following the concert – performances at local retirement homes (no rehearsals)
