Supporters of the Waterloo Concert Band
In addition to the generous support we receive from our loyal audience, we would also like to recognize the extraordinary support of other people and organizations:
Annual Support
The City of Waterloo supports the Waterloo Concert Band through an Affiliation Service Agreement, which helps the Band in a variety of ways throughout the year.
Special Project Support
A City of Waterloo Arts Grant in 2025 provided funding for the purchase of a variety of musical scores from a diverse range of under-represented composers. These selections formed the repertoire for And We Were Heard, our Spring 2026 major concert and Tutti 2026: All Together Now, an accessible concert.
The Baxter Family Fund, held at Waterloo Region Community Foundation, provided support for the 2025 inaugural Community Bandfest in Waterloo Park.
The Region of Waterloo Arts Fund helped us commission the original composition Resilience by Trevor Wagler in 2022, and provided generous support for our special major concert in 2016, Bandberg and Beyond, which featured music by a variety of Canadian composers, including the legendary Professor C.F. Thiele, and a piece specially commissioned from the remarkable Howard Cable.
